The link doesn't work, but i assume you're talking about the small 4 legged mice?

If so, get a cat.

I have a similar product and I'm sitting on the fence over it. It didn't drive away the ones we had but we haven't had any more visit after catching those. Maybe coincidence, maybe they work. According to my Radio Shak SPL meter they are emitting no sound at all, but maybe that can't measure ultrasonics.

Trust me a cat is not the awnser! Why?? because they will only catch something when IT feels like catching it. I mean a mouse ran along our garden once and my cat just sat there looking at it and walked off!!

Just to be sure, do not plug your cat into a mains socket to act as an ultrasonic pest repellant...

Your best bet is call your local authority environmental health dept, they should have a pest control section.

They don't charge for this service, they will send a man round who will put some poison down which will get rid of the problem in about 7 days.

Poison ok as long as you don't have any animals in the house.

Remeber if you have seen i mouse there may be more you have not seen and if left uncontrolled there will soon be a lot more as they breed like "rabbits"

If you dont like the idea of poison get some traps and bait them with chocolate or a large nut they like this better than cheese.

My local council only gets rid of rats for free.

They charge for mice.

But they're cheaper than the pest contol companies.

having cats will help, we had mice once and got 2 cats, the mice just bugger off even if the cats aren't great mousers........the smell / prescence of them seems to be enough.

The only problem I've got with stuff like this is that it might sort out your problem but the problem could then move to a neighbours house.

I noticed a small mouse on my decking this lunch time and when it saw me it ran off underneath the decking. What's the best way of getting rid of mice in the garden bearing in mind the local cats are only interested in killing my fish I believe you can get blocks of stuff to kill them as well as traps can't you ?

Does anyone know the best way to deal with rats ? I've spotted a rat twice (not sure if same one) today on my bird table eating the seed.

Stop putting seed out for a bit and then either stick a load of traps down or get the council to put poison down to make sure you get them all.

Re: mouse problem

Could be a bit drastic but...

A friend of mine (who is a spocky chemist with attitude!) had rats and ants living in / under his patio and both were entering the house at different times.

His solution? Poured nitro down the cracks in the patio...makeshift fuse...instant flash explosion at 1800C or something like it (I'm not that spocky!).

Sure enough, when he had completed the laying of a new patio...errr...cleaned the windows / replaced the broken one and repaired and re painted the back door, he had no rats or ants!

As I say, bit drastic!
