LG Rear Projection. RE44SZ21RD. Replacement Bulbs.

After two years my great tv has given up the ghost.
The engineer has told me it is the bulb and left me the task of getting one myself.
Two days of looking on the net no luck.
Partmaster ( currys ) are out of stock could get one in 28 days.
Can anyone with experiance of bulb changes help.
Also just getting over the coronary because of the price of bulbs.
Thanks.

Re

Hi Mate,

Mine has just done the same!

It was flashing an orange warning for a few months and today it would not turn on!

When I checked the actual bulb it was completely shattered!

Could you ring this number:-

Code:
01625 433325
Or email:-

Code:
enquiry@lampz.co.uk
This is a firm called "Lampz"!

Code:
http://www.lampz.co.uk/index.htm
The chap here will be able to source you one no problems at all! (cannot remember his name!)

He got me one within 15 minutes!

£326.00 delivered!

Replacing it is a doddle!

1. Remove the 2 retaining screws for the cover!

2. Loosen the 2 retaining screws for the lamp module!

3. Slide old lamp module out! (there is even a handy hoop for doing this!)

4. Slide new module in!

5. Tighten the 2 retaining screws for the lamp module!

6. Replace the 2 retaining screws for the cover!

About 5 minutes TOPS!

When you do this you may want to clean the dust out of the cooling fan and the place where the lamp module is situated, mine was rotten!

Not surprising though when you think that the fan sucks dust in continually when the telly is on!

Be careful though as you may damage something if you are not careful!

Have fun!

Later!

Gary
