BBC Radio DJ wages

Clicky

Sir Terry Wogan on a cool 800k but it's only 10p for every listener he gets or 25 quid per minute on air. Outdone though by Jonathan Ross's cool 56 quid a minute

And it goes on. Do you think they're worth it?

Well, I suppose we shouldn't knock it. Where else would people like TW and JR work, were it not for the media ? It keeps them off the streets, I suppose

Right now this makes feel half way between sick and furious.

I'm sick of being taxed like hell to pay for that kind of stuff. Seriously even if they were paid half that they'd be rich !

I think they're worth every penny. Better than the drivel on Radio 1. Wonder what Chris Moyles is on?

As a side note. How much do you think Sky pay the likes of Andy Gray & Richard Keys?

It comes out of license fees not tax. They are being paid at a competative rate, it's not as if they wouldnt get that at a different station.

Well the licence fee is a tax in a way

No, let's not argue whether TV is a luxury or not

Seeing as BBC radio and web services get a tiny percentage of the annual budget...I support that part of the BBC. And BBC sport

Read it on here somewhere earlier hes on 650k. £833 an hour

I think hes great and I would gladly pay him 65k a year for working 15 hours a week but 650k is to much sorry Chris.

I think most of them are worth it - apart from the likes of Sara Cox

am more offended about whats being spent on crap like Davina McCall and Anne Robinson

EDIT - and on that note, I'm now a Senior Member

Congrats Mate.

I don't listen to the radio, so I guess that I could not tell. Does sound like a awful lot of money though but then as said previously, do we want these people wandering the streets?
