I would have thought the whole administration are as responsible and Rambo is just being made a scape goat.

The whole thing has been a right mess from just about the moment they entered Baghdad.

There doesn't seem to have been any strategy to rebuild the infrastructure or to keep the peace.

I totally agree. The whole administration is corrupt, and they cover for each other.

Holy ****! Something Nick and I agree 100% on!

There is a great book out (I will try and rustle up the title) on the current and past (Bush Snr) Bush regimes and their dodgy links with big biz. Which sort of explains a lot re their (lack of) of environment policy, handing out of contracts in Iraq and Afghan and their clinging to blaming the USSR and France for what happened over 'oil for concessions'.

It has a good go at the current, and previous two British govts (Maggie and Major) as well!

Bush's grandpappy was openly trading with Hitler's government whilst we were at war with them. They only stopped when America entered WW2 in 1942. The family was investigated by the "Unamerican Activities Committee", and (as no coincidence) George Bush Sr volunteered for the US Navy, to help quell the accusations. Lots of people assume that the Bush fortunes come from oil - they don't.

P.S. The Bush regime gets even more scary if you believe what's contained in this !

As ever with US webpages I would take it with a liberal 'pinch', however, Karl Rove is one dodgy guy.

It also explains a Matt Groening reference to Arnie in one of his episodes with Krusty the Clown. It may sound an odd example, but the Simpsons is widely disliked by the US right for it's subtle digs at the American way of life - and key figures.

Rumsfeld is a sacrificial lamb being led to the slaughter. I have always believed that Dick Cheney is the real force behind the current regime. Bush and his pals have made incredible amounts of money out of Iraq just look at their stakes in the Haliburton and Carlisle groups.

As for the Bush family's choice of friends, you need look no further than their involvement with the Bin Laden family.

The more you look at it, the less ridiculous some of the conspiracy theories become. When you look at some of the whacky ideas that American politicians have come up with in the past to try to remove some of the leaders that wouldn't toe America's line.

DRs's no scapegoat nor sacrificial lamb, his hands are as dirty as or dirtier than most of the neocon hawks and Haliburton/Carlyle Group weasels, and have been so ever since he shook hands with Sadaam over chemicals for WMD Iraq had just bought from the US back in '83

also worth checking out the documentaries or writings of director/producer Robert Greenwald and Greg Palast...

they tend to uncover things ages before Moore, and hence do a fair amount of the groundwork for him

If you want to see "scary stuff", watch this and this

Makes Michael Moore's movie seem quite tame, especially the first one.

Who's the terrorists now ?
