Thanks: Gave 5, Got 6 | Help!!! (extremely long shot)
Evening all.
I know this sounds like a VERY long shot, but I kind of met this girl last weekend & would really like to be able to get in touch.
All I know is, her name's Emily, she's about 26ish & lives in the Bristol area (told you it was a long shot). She's about 5'8 & has long brown hair.
She was staying at Weymouth Bay haven holiday park with about 4 friends last weekend (7th-10th April) & has a son of about 9.
As you can see, it's a bit of a last resort
I'm not mental (as far as I know, anyway), but if anyone has a clue if they know her I'd really appreciate it. I expect the token stalker jokes to follow...
Cheers!

Have you tried phoning the holiday park? I'm sure you can find a way to BS them, possibly get a second name at least.

Call the local Bristol radio station (Google it), and explain the situation. Chances are they'll put out a message from you to Emily on morning or evening drive time slots. Might work, as it's a heart-warming local interest story. Just don't come across as insane or dangerous when you ring them!

I'm usually pretty good at this BS lark. My initial thought was to claim that you have her mobile phone, but then if that was the case you could just call someone in her phone book and sort it out that way. So you're going to have to be more creative than that. I guess there arn't many reasons why you would only know her first name... I suppose you could claim to have something of significance that you would like to give back to her, however this could get awkward as they would probably insist on acting as an intermediary...
I suppose you could try ringing up and telling the truth, but I am never fond of this, the odds being that you will talk to a jobsworth **** who will just say no.
I'll have a think about it

Just ask them to pass your number to her. Surely there will be no rule against that - then she can decide!

The more I think about it the more I think that claiming you have a personal item such as a piece of jewelry is the way to go. After all if it all goes horribly wrong you can just hang up and call back a week later.

The passing the number on is a goodun too. Have to hope that I get someone on the other end who gives a SH. Cheers!
Guess there's not many users in the Bristol area then.. Then again, it's a flipping big area to cover

Asking them to pass your number on to her is such a bad idea.
If you do this and you get no reply you have to assume that she got the message and wasnt interested. If you proceed to persue things beyond this point and it turned out that she wasnt interested then you are effectivly stalking. However, it may never have been the case there are so many things that could have gone wrong along the way.
Firstly you phone up the camp and as soon as you hang up the person you spoke doesn't bother... or they dont have the number so cant help... They phone and get no answer then forget about it... They speak to the wrong person who forgets about it... and on and on... bad idea, you should make sure you do anything that you care about in person.

Might I ask why you didn't ask for her number last weekend?

Go to a police station near the camp with just a suitcase full of clothes. Tell them you have amnesia and all you can remember is that you we with your friend Emily at a holiday park. One conveniently placed item from the park (box of matches with its name on etc) and bob's your uncle........theyll give you a warning for wastin police time.....perhaps creative isnt the best option.
