Would anyone buy a lurker's speakers?

Hello everybody.

I've been lurking here off and on for the past 18 months or so, nibbling on the tasty nuggets of information I've been able to glean from the LCD TV and Freeview forums. I haven't had cause to post in the past, such is the breadth and depth of knowledge here, however that's coming back to bite me in the arse now, as I have a spanking set of Kef Q5 speakers which I no longer have a need for and I'd like to offer them for sale here before eBaying them.

My worry is that if I post in the traders forum, and it's my first post asking for £XXX odd quid for some speakers, everyone will think I'm some kind of sketchy Nigerian scam merchant or something. Or am I just being paranoid?

Would you buy from a guy making his first (or second now!) post? Also, would an item being offered for collection only make you less worried about the veracity of a new trader?

TIA!

if you offer collection or deliver yourself and cash on collection or delivery dont see it putting many people off, post plenty of pics and a honest description and i dont see people being put off at all.,

I'd imagine if you offer a demo it wouldn't be a problem.

you could always do a 50/50 deal to somebody with good trader ratings or even trust them and send the speakers first if their rating is good enough. I don't really see why it should always be the buyer who has take the risk anyway.
