Best April Fool

I once told my boss that the garage down the road was selling petrol for £1.04.01 per gallon just for the day.
2 of the company vans had accidents on the way there, one of them was a right off! (sorry boss) or should i say Ex Boss

Possibly just for us youngsters, but what does £1.04.01 equate to?

We once had a Greek guy living in halls of residence while I was doing my first university degree. A good guy but very gullible (would follow a muck cart to a wedding as we say oop north). Anyway we got hold of some original Greek government letterhead paper and printed up a letter that he was to immediately called up to do national service in Greece and that he had to immediately register with the embassy in London. True to form he went, yet never realised it had been an April Fool's prank.

anyone have some good ones ?

I can't really track anything useful down on net.

A few years ago there was a few great 'paper ones' that did the rounds. My fave was a one on that had a archaeological company headed paper that said that they needed to dig down thru the victims kitchen to excavate an old burial ground etc. Sounds lame, but was written really well..... talking about 'only needing a metre wide shaft' .......... and how 'removal of the bodies will have minimum impact to the owner's daily lives :-)

I want to email someone a word doc like that

Page 3 of today's Guardian had one of the most scarily believable hoaxes I've seen in a while
