Weetabix: How many?

When you have a bowl of Weetabix, how many do you have. And how do you take em?

I've found myself having 5 at a time

Have Weetabix changed.
Years ago, if I used cold milk, They stayed crunchy.
Now I find that even with the coldest milk, they turn to mush in a minute or so.

4 for me normally,
alternatively 2 weetabix, then fill the bowl up with cornflakes

Weetabix have definitely changed too, I'm pretty sure it was around the same time they went with the plastic wrappers instead of paper..

Weetabix I have two in a bowl at a time, but have a full packet (however many that is).

Shredded Wheat I will have two, then two, then two.

Four if it's breakfast, with some juice.

Three if it's supper, with some cocoa!

Yum - love Weetabix. Only Shredded Wheat (with warm milk) is any better...

Three with hot milk. Also have to leave at least one not totally covered with milk so it remains dry and it's not all a soggy mush!
It adds to the taste a bit (another 'quirk' of mine!)

Also, anyone remember the original Special K, the softer flakes before they made em rock hard in the 80s? They still have em like this in the states!

I've just upgraded to larger cereal bowls and can now get up to 5 weetabix in one sitting - it used to be a mere 3. I also have porridge & bran flakes other days, occasionally museli as well.

You might like them. I think it's the corn mix in them that's off-putting.

I eat two, but put Ocean Spray dried cranberries and tropical fruit on them with cold milk lovely. You don't need sugar.

My brother came back from Australia in January with three 1.2kg boxes of Weet-Bix (the Aussie equivalant of Weetabix). It's 100% Australian made and owned and tastes FABULOUS!

These are the ingredients:

Wholegrain wheat (97%), raw sugar, salt, barley malt extract, minerals.

Yum factor: 10/10

Taken with semi-skimmed milk from British cows.

Actually I can remember as a kid having them spread with butter!

These days you're lucky to get one out of the packet in one piece let alone butter one. I'm off to the kitchen to experiment!

Have never put butter on Weetabix only Shredded wheat with hot milk. Then I used to eat fried bread with sugar on, still makes my mouth water thinking about it.
