Get voicemail from Tom Baker

you might have heard that text messages sent to BT numbers are now voiced by Tom Baker
(interviewed HERE about it - requires RealPlayer; BBC News online - "Actor Baker becomes voice of text")

Anything goes, Little Britain narrations, all swear words, etc etc
- quite funny when using a web SMS service, copying and pasting a whole load of nonsense, and sending it to a landline

I can imagine Tom Baker having to 'confess' to all sorts of things!

Yeah - it is quite funny - sent some interesting "TEST" messages to the wife the other day - she found it very funny!

You can have a right laugh with it!!

Aparantly he recorded 17 thousand+ sounds rather then words that can be arranged to cover any word in the english language.

I wondered how they had got the sentences so realistic as you know the same word can sound almost completely different in seperate contexts.

I Listen to Miles every morning. Tho I think he reached a new low level today by pulling his trousers down and and emulating a woman squatting for a pee!

I saw Tom Baker on Richard & Judy, where they were discussing this. They told him that thousands would now get dumped with texts using his voice. Poor Tom didn't seem to have thought of this & looked quite dismayed.
