I guess everyone makes them, buyt what in heavens name is George Gallaway doing in BB ? What did he hope to gain? Reach out to the youth? Discuss politics with him?Or more likeley talk about himself. Whatever it is he seems to have failed and more to the point has probably alienated many who voted for him not lkeat the Muslim community in his constituency who would no approve of the company he is keeping. His political career now looks to go inmto freefall. He also made some stupid statements like the one about the Iraquis liking Sadam. Maybe those in Tikrit did but any marsh Arab or Kurd would have very different opinions. And his idiotic lambasting of Jodie?? " "you are a wicked girl" She is by no means perfect, but wicked??
i think he will be the first one out Friday

As they say in the Devonshire countryside "an ounce of common sense is worth an lb of brains".

I don't have either!

thats not exactly a glowing comendation .... you might as well put him in with a herd of cows and 'probably' he would be amongst the brightest.
afiak all he is, is a political self publicist with no higher academic qualifications and used to make tyres.

Agree totally with that, the bloke is in love with himself and I wouldn't put it past him to have engineered the conflict with the Americans to further promote himself.

Whats academia and making tyres got to do with price of bread?
He has inteligence but lacks wisdom or any sense of humility and he is constantly proving that inteligence has sweet f.a to do with the latter two.He has a monstrous ego fails to integrate in a positive fashion, offers no pearls of wisdom to anyone( a man of his age and experience should be able to)and obviously thinks the world revolves round him as do Pete Burns and Barrymore. I fail to understand what he hoped to gain by taking part and can only conclude that it is a mixure of greed ,oportunism and massive vanity.Chantelle, bless her, has more common sense than he has.

well, since he hasn't done anything or said anything that marks him out as 'intelligent' in his political career ..... his education and earlier career might have been his saving grace .... but it obviously isn't.

ie there is nothing to indicate that he has anything more than the intellectual prowess of a cabbage.

You don't have to be particularly bright to court controvesy and get your name in the papers - just look at the company he's in.

I know nothing about his academic record and care even less.I will , say though, that in the university of life he seems to have learnt little going by his latest performancesi would say that some of the women ie Lenska and , possibly, Faria have learnt more form their lives tribulations than he has.At least they are trying to make the project work.
As for his life as a tyremaker well at least its a useful occupation which is more than can be said for some the "cabbages " that come out of university with ":first class degrees" but without an ounce of common sense and a complete inability to do even the simplest task . Very good at indulging in mental masturbation and foistering their opinions on all and sundry but little else.I know, having lived with one, that the intelectually arrogant have great trouble relating to everyday "cabbages". Very trying for them.
They can spout Chaucer in Walloon or tell you who Ethelred's Godfather was in Old English but try asking them to change a plug .Now I dont know whether George woud be good at any of those things

My wifes uncle is a professor of Physics (retired) and former advisor to the UK govt on recycling Nuclear waste. He has, to date, successfully built four extentions, an upper storey on a Bungalow outrigger, and decorated and re-designed the interior of all his childrens houses. As all these properties, over the thirty year period he was working on them, were sold at a massive profit. He obviously did a good job.

Not everyone who lives and works in an Ivory tower is a total numbwit Facundo.

A lot of extremely intelligent people have little common sense. I used to work for an insurance company that dealt only with doctors and they are the only people i know who put stmaps on freepost envelopes
