Something I never thought my wife would say...

...this morning my wife said the following, quite seriously, to me:

"Shall we buy a plasma screen in January, then? Theyre so pretty"

Anyone know where I can get a good brand for £1000.00 ?

not mocking at all but trust a woman to include the word 'pretty' when describing electronics!

well, actually my wife likes the 5.1. She just wants it big! (Thats why she married me...erm cause I like my TVs big too)
She actually really getting into this AV stuff, she likes the subtle rainfall of ladder 49 in Dolby 5.1, and dTS Nemo, so now were just 'feng sui' ing our lounge to make it all minimalist and posh!

We are making the most of the 3 years it will take for Kayla to realise that poking in the little tweeters is fun. (Note to self...mount plasma screen, ohhh way higher than 3ft from the floor!)

Note to self - think about the neck ache you will get if it is more than 3 feet from the floor (ask yourself why your current TV isn't that high up.)

Probably because it weights 65kg or so and the plasterboard walls wouldn't take it.

No problems with more than 3feet up, depending on viewing distance.

no if your tv was meant to be high then they would make a stand that high that would support that weight.

unless you live in a pub or want to make you home look like a pub - i'd think ver seriously about it. you'll need to well over feet away NOT to be moving your neck up in anyway.

just remember its not a picture, its a tv! or and look up some health and safety stuff for monitor placement - it recommends that you look at it stright on - no ups or no downs - just straight ahead. also think about the fact that you will be looking at the display for hours at a time, and neck bending for extended periods will harm you.

maybe you should start the thread we were all expecting over in the "sensitive" department, then we could all let rip.
