Sagem HD-D45 and comet refund

Hi

My 2 month old Sagem HD-D45 has broken down with a suspected dodgy bulb. Comet engineer coming to look at it tomorrow and will probably just stick in a new bulb. Can I refuse a repair and get a refund/replacement as I'm wondering if it might be an underlying problem that has caused the bulb to go so quickly?

Cheers

i doubt you will have a hope - you'll have to get them to repair it. if it goes again then you may have a case, but first time i doubt it very much.

i worked in currys a few years back and we had similar return policies to comet and i would agree with Gary, i think if it breaks down again you would have more of a chance but not after the first time it breaks down

Guy from comet came with new bulb today, it had a price of £303 on the box, probably without vat, glad I got the 5 year cover as he said the bulbs are covered

although the bulb is covered in your first year i would double check that its covered by the extened cover, reason being was that when working in currys we had a similar warranty and we didnt cover the bulb- written in the warranty document but most of the staff didnt know that we didnt cover it!

hope you dont get any more bother from it
