Wireless BB: PC card or USB stick?

HI y'all.

I love this place, you give answers to anything! And I've got another query...

After getting my BB up and running wirelessly with one [wireless enabled] lappy, I am now looking to get our second one connected too. It's not got wireless built-in, so my question is, should I buy a PC card or a USB stick for it? And advantages/disadvantages with either?

Thanks.

USB ones usually require more power to operate for some reason, so if your computer is fairly loaded already with components requiring power then it might be better to get a PC card......(unless you mean a PCMCIA card for a laptop? in which case i dunno, but a normal desktop PC will probably be better off with an internal PCI card)

I think that the speeds you get vary with the type of USB you have.
USB1 runs slower than USB2, so check which type you have.

USB is the easier option to go for though, just plug it in, install the software and your online. No having to open the case, buying a static wristband etc....

I am using USB2 wirelsss connection with Telewest BB and it runs great with fast speeds

Thanks guys.

As it happens I was in John Lewis today anyway and they had a Belkin wireless USB dongle for £19.99. Bought that and it's up and running easy as could be.

I'd go with the PC card on the basis that you're much less likely to snap it off in use!!

I hope that by "wireless" they mean Wi-Fi and not Bluetooth, because Bluetooth is a much inferior system.
