Nice Weather

What a lovely day!

I've spent it at the Woodhall Spa 1940's weekend. Amazing to see so many people dressed in wartime clothing in a village of outstanding beauty. Even better when the Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane did several low passes!

Hope everyone else is having a grand weekend!

Al

Looking at the forecast for London for the next four days, it does seem as though we stole the weather intended for another city

That's it! can't stand this heat anymore if she wants the garden finished she can pay someone to do it.I can't stand another minute outside.

Just going to sit indoors with the AC blasting, drinking ice cold beer, until my taxi arraives to take me to the airport

How people can enjoy this weather is beyond me.

I do enjoy it but it's more the sun, I can't stand being too hot. Was lovely this morning took the dog for a walk at 7am 15/16 degrees and very sunny - perfect.

Just took a car load of rubbish to the tip as we were away for our collection day and had to go anyway for plasterboard. Need my air conditioning regassed and the heat and smell ergh it was awful. Feel sorry for bin men in this weather.

No matter what the weather, some people always complain. The only people that don't? Tourists!

I can take up to 22 degrees but higher than that and I'm not going to be out in the sun for too long.

Been working in my garden, and a neighbour over the back has had kids screaming/shouting/crying non stop since saturday.I'm indoors and my ears are still ringing

I'm all for kids playing in their gardens. But letting them scream non stop for hours on end is a bit much. The people next door went indoors after a while it was that bad.

I agree. if mine are playing nicely but loudly I think thats acceptable - if they are screaming and arguing I make them go indoors until they stop

Our bedroom is south facing and gets very hot, I sleep on top of the duvet with the tower fan on a low setting all night. The gentle breeze wafting over me is lovely

I'm off work this week and was sat out on the decking until around 1am this morning, I discovered the amazing Rekorderling Wild Berries Cider for the first time - wow how fabulous does that taste!

Then I had a productive day today, lots of jobs are getting done now the decent weather is here! I fitted a new filtration system on my pond, finished off my hen house/run and bought 6 Hens - 3 Silkies, 2 Plymouth Rocks and a Cream Legbar (this one lays green eggs!)

And my sister had her baby boy at 8pm tonight, so tomorrow we'll be off to the hospital visiting then go and sit outside the pub for a nice lunch

Saturday i'm off to York races with some workmates, hopefully the weather will hold!

Over the nice weather this weekend I managed to get my window sills sanded back to bare wood and a fresh coat of stain on them. Likewise my front door, which now has a fresh coat of paint on it. Even had time to go out for a spin in my Z3 tonight with the roof down (via B&Q to get some more tools, etc ) and it was glorious: I much prefer that to driving my work's car with the aircon on. Finally being able to get on with some of these overdue outside jobs that I've been wanting to do this year.

Seems to have cooled down now, thankfully our bedroom is North facing and has windows on two sides, so rarely gets too hot and stuffy unless it's really hot. I used to live in a dormer bungalow and days like this would mean sleep was impossible as it was like trying to sleep in a hot loft.
