Without a doubt the worst, and I've seen it on here, are people who refer to Ronaldo as 'CR7'

Grow up.
Or just their first name. I see "Novak" used all the time on here. People do it to imply they are more au fait with the sport concerned

I have an irrational annoyance at the number of irrational annoyances some people seem to have. 80% of the annoyance comes from 20% of the posters. Their lives must be one big annoyance. Although it makes no difference at all to me I find it annoying! LOL

Uruguay's national anthem is about 6 minutes long- the longest in terms of duration. Google may say that Greece has the longest NA, but that's in terms of fancy dancy musical terms ("bars"), not duration.

In contrast, the shortest NA is Uganda's at around 15-20 seconds.

The fact that when I watch some TV channels there's an annoying logo/channel name in the corner of my screen.

I don't need to constantly be shown what channel I'm on. I haven't forgotten..and most of the time don't care.

Culprits include:
BBC HD
BBC 3
C4 HD
BBC 3
E4
etc.

I don't have sky, but I bet half of them do the same.

People who ask you a question, and then start checking their phone or getting distracted while you tell them the answer.

'Personal assistant' type threads on here:

"Can you find me a....."
"I'm looking for a......"
"I have £1500, suggest a holiday....."

I'm undecided as to who's more annoying though, the people who ask or the people who are daft enough to help the lazy blighters...

The new guy sitting next to me, that when he is breathing makes a whistling nose through his nose. ALL DAY. Then when it stops i'm sat there waiting for it to start again

The overuse of the words "basically" and "obviously" to start sentences in common parlance.

Surprised that you've missed

I don't really start those threads but I must admit I place a lot of credibility in the members here, so if people here give personal recommendations (and they're supported by my other research) it might be what tips me to getting a particular brand/product. eg most of my PC/server components have been purchased based on personal recommendations from users here.

In other words it may not always be laziness, but rather the level of trust people hold in their fellow members.

(Sorry, I know these are irrational annoyances and therefore shouldn't be subject to challenge. )

Recommendations are one thing, no problem with that.
It's threads where 'let me google that for you' would come into play that drive me nuts.
Sheer laziness.

Bad pronunciation of the simplest of words in the English language.

E.g.
Fink (think)
Ven (then)
Fanks (thanks)
Vis (this)
Somethink (something)
Anythink (anything)

Also the pronunciation of 'controversy.'
It's 'con-trov-ersy'..... not 'con-tro-ver-sy’ Particularly annoying when newsreaders and the like say wrong!

One of my major pet hates.

Can I "arks" you a question?

No, but you can pronounce the goddam verb correctly, it's not like you're saving anything by saying "arks" instead of ask is it?

Or should I have ended that with "innit"?

The fact that the further South you drive the more absolute tits driving Audis you come across. Every time there's someone half an inch from your back bumper it's an Audi. Does every new Audi come with an instruction video on how to annoy every other road user?

Apologies to Audi owners who don't drive like a complete nob, you're obviously part of the 5% of Audi owners who aren't annoying

Some of these can be genuine speech impediments. I can't pronounce th properly; it isn't because I don't know better, its because I can't actually tell that there's a difference on a phonological processing level.

But the others I agree with

Audi drivers are the new 'BMW drivers'. Small brain, small cock and a massive ego. Aimed at the 95%, as stated above.

I'd expect more than 5% of audi drivers to be female, so your observation is unlikely to be true. Well, for the middle trait at least!

Women can have cocks too. Don't be so narrow minded

People putting smiley faces in work related emails.

An incorrectly-used or missing apostrophe.

People writing "could of" instead of "could've" or "could have" (see also "would of", "should of" etc.).

People that don't indicate properly on roundabouts, either not doing it at all or indicating to leave the roundabout at an exit much earlier than the one they want.

Cr*p lane discipline on roundabouts.

I need to go lie down now...

We used to live near an American airbase and the street sweepers had a title along the lines of "street beatification engineers". Probably not quite the ridiculous, but not far off, I don't remember it exactly.

People who post "were" instead of "where" and don't punctuate.
