I can't help but feel this thread was intended to be an example for something else of all straight men being homophobic but it has clearly backfired

Not homophobic in the slightest but i hate when gays act gaaaaaaaaaay. No need, with stupid clearly put on voices and body posture. then they wear womams clothes, what's women's clothes got to do with being attracted to the same sex. Get an effing sex change instead of being a ****.
And also they moan they are labelled and then called themselves LGBT. Eh hello.
Rant over.

I don't find men kissing erotic for the opposite reasons.
yeah, that's it - I fancy women, so seeing to kiss is a turnon...

and since I'm hetro - I don't fancy men, and seeing two men kiss is a turnoff...

nothing homophobic about that at all.

Shaun24 is quite the genius to be honest...
We are all homophobic Nazis if we close the thread as we are not allowing him to speak about something which is not against the forum rules...

But on the other hand if we keep it open we get conflicting statements from him showing blatantly how he is attention seeking but at the same times denies it.

...if everyone who admitted to liking curry over the last hundred years had been persecuted in the same way that gay people have been then I think you'd have a right to be proud of yourself for publicly standing up for what you are & what you believe in. That takes guts... even in today's society.

Luckily the only persecution us curry lovers have to put up with is "You fat bastard" and it's hardly the same as losing your job, being imprisoned or having seven bells of **** kicked out of you is it.

Being proud of standing up for yourself, your rights and for what you believe in is not the same as being proud about something you have no control over.

Gay men are better at cutting straight men's hair than any other social group.

Ah but in that case who is the "bull" and who is "the mary" ?

At our group's induction into Uni in 1994, a simple unpleasant incident occurred that gave everyone else the impression I was gay:

Everyone was sitting in chairs in a semicircular group facing the lecturer, and one or two of us were in isolated chairs - I was one of them.

Bear with me: I have a habit of picking my lips until they feel smooth, and sometimes it causes problems where I can't keep my lips together because of the roughness of the skin because it's continually growing back.

Well, at one point the lecturer is talking, and he's standing next to me in my chair as I'm sat down, and I look up at him... only for my lips to part in full view of everyone, giving them the impression I'm being all smoochy towards the lecturer.

It was subtle, and when the jeering and catcalls started in the few days after that, it took me ages to realise that THAT is what had caused the problem.

Just a simple gesture caused by a habit of mine rather than my sexual orientation - of which I'm straight - and everyone thought I was openly gay.

Ironically, I never sought out to correct them or explain. Just went through my entire Uni course with murmurs of "poof" or "queen" throughout.

As for me, no need to worry, I'm Scottish thus have ample hatred to spread around. There is no danger that an important topic of discussion won't receive the ample quantities of bile and vitriol it's truly deserving of.

Such a T-shirt makes you fall into the same camp of person who continuously dangles their Ferrari keyring while spinning their Hugo Boss sunglasses "Oh, I need to shoot yah, got to sign off on a million pound deal yah" just so, you know, hes important and worth more than you, pleb. Or the bloke who walks down the street proclaiming to the heavens "Quality tits love" just to make sure everyone knows he's straight, and approving of someones breasts. Quality blokes the lot of them.

Like I said I wear it because I am proud of my Sexuality and I should not have to hide it
I can blow air out of my right tearduct, where's my T-Shirt?

Why be proud of it anyway, its just something you are born with. Why be proud of that any more or less than being born with 10 fingers and toes or a functioning and intact metatarsal, suck on that professional footballer, bet you wish you had one of theses bad boys.

Quote:
When people see straight couple kissing in the street no one cares but if it was 2 men then they will and shout abuse

That what get's me annoyed and angry
When I was single I hated any and all public signs of affection, does that make me sexualphobic, or would that be homohetrophobic?

And as has been said before, straight people may not like it but it doesn't mean they hate gay people. Just as some straight people don't like the sight of a man and women eating each others faces, doesn't make them gay, does it?

One great way to make life harder than it really ought to be is to think the world revolves around you and everyone should automatically agree with any and every action you make. Congrats sir, you're doing great.

We are reaching a point where homosexuality can continue to be this unique and beautiful snowflake, which should be shouted about and treated differently from any and all others.

Or it could just be treated like everything else. Who cares?

As I am openly gay and out and proud (I am not bisexual), I always wear a tshirt with the slogan (NOBODY KNOWS I'M GAY) In my town centre (Burnley, Lancashire) and most straight men call me gay insults which is annoying and for most of you on here who is going to say why I wear it? well I am out and proud that is why I wear it. If iIdidn't wear it then no one will know i am gay. As I am a straight acting good looking guy, I am not camp!!

I don't see the problem at all, its 2012 so why is homophobic is still alive?
Homophobia has thankfully been dying out for a long time. It's posts like yours and wearing T-shirts as you describe that draws unnecessary attention to a fact about you which no one particularly gives a toss about and allows you to label any adverse reaction as homophobic. The reality is that to everyone else your sexuality is about as exciting as someone telling you they've just bought a new chest of drawers. It may be fact but as a conversation point it's on a par with a discussion about a piece of fluff on the carpet.

None of my gay friends have ever told me their sexual orientation. I'm guessing Ian and Steve are though as they only have a double bed in their small house. Maybe I'll ask them one day.

Does it really matter though? It's 2012 not 1812.

Think this has backfired a little on the OP now. I'm getting a little bored.

Anyone want a blow by blow description of the colonoscopy. Right from the time when a female nurse gave me an enima....................

..................and I'm awfully hurt that no one has asked if I had a happy result.
