When you quickly text someone and put in 'now' instead of 'not' or vice versa. As in "I'm now going tonight" instead of "I'm not going tonight". One little letter, and a whole world of difference.

Yes I hate that too. They also sometimes try to coin a new phrase for something by saying "known as (insert word here)-gate by some people". With the "some people" being only that reporter trying to create a phrase for the bit of news.

A woman in work had a baby girl and year ago and now she's back I have heard every detail "oh she is walking!" "Oh she danced in front the TV!" "Here are loads of pictures of her on my phone". Every single day.

Not at all, just trying to balance out the other comment.

On a serious note, I generally try to value someone's opinion based on the quality of what they're saying, whether they have kids or not. One thing that is inescapable though - and that some childless people seem to have a real problem accepting, though I don't know why - is that your perspective on life changes when you become a parent. It's not a case of oneupmanship, it's just a natural thing, like getting pubes during adolescence. You can try to fight it, but you can never go back.

I haven't seen anyone suggest that and I certainly don't think that. Of course your perspective changes. The problem is that not everyone wants that change!

When a thread contains multiple pages and you click on the last available page only too find the previous page has or may have unread posts. Selecting the previous page you have to carefully scroll down as there is no little orange icon to guide you to the first unread.
