It will be 2 weeks on Monday already since picking up Holly. Some more pics.

She had her first visit to our vets this week and confirmed she is the age the Blu Cross has said despite her small size.

Last weekend, I did find 3 cables with the plugs chewed off including my old Sony NS930 player. Luckily, they all just needs new plugs. I have now covered up any cables. I haven't had to do that for a long time.

Did you say she was a rescue? If so good on you mate!

Luckily our sasha seems to leave leads alone (although when we first got her she chewed my MacBook charger)

She prefers digging holes

Here's some pics of our rescue dog, Alfie:

Pleased to be back from a groom:

Discovering snow:

Carrying one of his toys:

With our neighbours dog (Ivy, a 13-year old King Charles Spaniel):

Alfie has grown so much in every way since joining his forever family last October. The last picture means a lot to us as Alfie had some real phobia's about being near other dogs (due to his background); through continued re-assurance, exposure to other dogs and plain hard work/training he is a whole heap better. We had Ivy to stay for just under a week and they got on like a house on fire....Alfie made an old girl feel young again!

Bless him....what an addition to the family, we are really proud of him.

Cute. He looks quite big.

For such a small dog, Holly can certainly run fast and jump high. I found her on a windowsill when I tried to do some vacuuming. She managed to get on the back of a sofa and then jump onto the windowsill.

Lola is still getting used to Holly. She is not used to a puppy running around.

I have been looking at some old pics and this one turned up taken 6 years ago. This is Lola when she was 2 years old with Squib (I didn't name him).

Our two rescue cats. This was taken 4 years ago, when we brought them to the house as kittens. We had just got them to the house, and they were scared to come out of their cat box.

Phil

Edit. We actually only wanted one cat, but when we got there, they had all of the cats (kittens) paired up in pens. We took out 'Poppy' - the tabby - and said we wanted her. But the black and white cat (no name, but subsequently called Leo), started crying. I looked at my wife, and with tears in our eyes we picked up 'Leo' and took him as well. A great decision, for both him and us.

This is them a few weeks later.

4 years on, they are both fine; they don't cuddle up quite so much. But they are both part of our family.

Holly got spayed yesterday and had to put a collar on after removing her dressing. She doesn't like it.

Had to post a pic of my freshly molted Nhandu Chromatus..

Been trying to grow one of these from a spiderling for a while now but sadly my last two two never made it through their early molts.

This one 'Bernard' is growing into a big boy now....very proud of him

Awesome! I had a Mexican red knee but it died earlier this year.
Out of curiosity, why have you got 21 tarantulas?

Just find them interesting pets...easy to keep and fascinate us. Collection has just grown as we kept finding interesting ones (we have 22 in total, all different)

We do have a Mexican Red knee, she's one of my favourites. Beautiful colouring and very active but they are very clumsy climbers. I fear for mine daily as she is forever climbing and falling in her viv.

Nice idea but don't want to encourage the climbing really..she climbs up, gets upside down on the lid then falls off when she looses grip.

I've lost two spiders in the last year this way, when they have a bad fall they rupture the exo-skeleton if they land on something hard and die
