if you mean in square feet by today's standards it's not bad. It's not the biggest of apartments but for a one bedroom it's bigger than a lot of I've seen.

Re: Apartments

Not bad at all. As Shahedz commented, not the biggest but not the smallest either. It's a reasonable size!

Ours is about 620 I think.

Re: Apartments

Probably about right but nothing special at all. Think mines around 600 (1.5 bed)

I'd consider 1000 sqft half decent for an apartment (1/2 bedroom). Alas, unless you earn an absolute mint, house/flat builders today refuse to let us mere mortals live in anything that could suitable be called reasonable living space.

Re: Apartments

My first 3-bed semi was only 700 sq ft! Modern houses are quite small.

Re: Apartments

mine is a 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom flat. Its only 580ft!! So is certainly small. Only got the keys 2 weeks back, having lived the last 22 years in a 1930s semi it's a lot smaller than what i'm used to.

How ever, everything is built in, wardrobes, washing machine. fridge, microwave, oven. It literally means all i needed is bed, sofa , dining table and TV unit.

Because wardrobes etc are built the developers made the best of a small space and made it very useable.

Re: Apartments

Sq footage is a good indication to the size of the property but more important than that is the layout and how that Sq footage is split up.

Re: Apartments

This is the layout (pdf file)
http://www.gwynedd.gov.uk/swiftlg/ap...18&theModule=1

They plan on doing other 1 bed and 2 bed apartments, but that was the biggest sq. ft 1 bedroom apartment

Re: Apartments

Living room looks like a decent space , bedroom looks awkward , from the angles you may be limited to the lay out.

Will they come with built in wardrobes or anything?

Thats a prime example of layout being just important as the Sq footage. The bedroom isnt great and you will struggle to fit wardrobes and a large double bed in there comfortably. I would personally look else where.
