This one covers the UK although you need to search for a specific flight

But it doesn't have to cool animated planes landing and stuff

Flightstats is useful though.

Another tip if you want to check a flight status. Just type the flight number into Google. It uses flightstats for the info but a nice feature.

I use this one for viewing historical tracking data around heathrow - because it gets noisy here in Ealing when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction, and the planes all take off and fly over my flat.

I was told that we can't have anything like that in the UK because of some obscure part of the Wireless Telegraphy Act.
