Sound Quality of band and singer on Strictly BBC1 and X Factor ITV

Always thought X factor lacked the balance of vocals to background band noise, just watched a bit of Strictly and was astounded at the difference in sound quality, the singer was wonderfully balanced against the band both were easy to hear with vocals clear to hear all the time, then flicked to X factor and found it really hard work trying to hear the singer against the band noise - is it just me ?

had to switch the sound off on strictly tonight when they were butchering "ever fallen in love". The music was ok but the vocalist trying to sound like Pete Shelley was sickening

It's not just you - I said the same to the missus - can hardly hear their voices on X-Factor. I don't know how the judges can hear them.

Xfactor is just beyond joke these days. 100% manufactured. Camera techniques, Sound mixing, Song choices & Judges reactions / comments favours the chosen ones.

Off topic: Cheryl Cole shifted around 300,000 copies of her single last week, one of the top in this decade

Re: Sound Quality of band and singer on Strictly BBC1 and X Factor ITV

Never mind putting the clocks back, last night was like putting the year back.

Same show, same judges, same set (though they say it's new?), same theme, same songs, same band, same michael boobies, just some different-ish acts.

I hope Jon and Edward win it, perhaps then they'll re-think.

Just watching last nights X-Factor. For the first time this series they seem to have got the sound mix half decent. You can hear the singers, which kind of helps for a singing competition.
