Really hope someone can help!! I'm trying to find out the title/composer of the piece of music used in tonight's episode of Masterchef the professionals (22/10/09). It was played during the section of the show with Marianne in London, (the segment where all contestants were shown back at their home towns)

Hiya thanks for replying. It's a part violin (or some sort of string instrument) and part piano piece. Quite mid to up-tempo I guess in classical music terms. I've heard it so many times over the years, used in various tv ads etc and hearing it in that show made me determined to try and find out what it is!!

Believe it or not I think you might be referring to a section from a song by Metallica!

One of their numbers is called "Nothing Else Matters" (or something like that) - slow tempo and very, very good.
