Cat Problem

My folks' cat keeps getting into fights each time it goes outside, it will come back with half a tail left and then it needs to go to the vet to get fixed up, this is happening about 3 times a week now no jokes.

We cant keep the cat locked up indoors all day and night long, is there anything we can do. Its starting to cost a small fortune in vets bills as its been about 3 trips a week for the past 2 weeks to get it patched up after its fights, its obviously not a good fighter so a fighting circle isnt an option so no suggestions about that, any ideas as to what to do would be greatly appreciated.

They dont want to get rid of the cat but its fighting is getting a bit to much now and its not right to keep it locked in all the time.

Re: Cat Problem

Yeah it is chopped, not sure who its fighting with, we think it could be the foxes in the area, there other cats but they all get along as we have seen them sharing food and stuff.

Re: Cat Problem

Could be fighting with other animals, such as a badger or fox?

Re: Cat Problem

If the cats been neutered then there's not much else you can besides keeping it inside, which isn't what your parents want.

Re: Cat Problem

I don't think your cat's fighting with another cat, what has the vet said about this?

Give it steroids? That should bulk it up nicely.
