Re: making money online

best you'll do anywhere is £50 here and there...and even then if you live at your PC filling in surveys or reviews for days on end.

All in all, been there, done that, not worth it.

best way to make money online, go in your loft, shed, cupboard under the stairs, collect all the old crap you dont want or use and sell it either here or on eBay or something.

Re: making money online

I'd say online gambling, poker probably your best bet. Never done it myself but I remember somebody posting on here a while back it was easy to make a small amount of money a day in low stake games.

this.

money can be made easily on the internet but you have to work out how to do it yourself, once everyone finds out how to do it you cant make money out of it anymore.

when i was 12 or so i started selling freeware macroing programs for online pc games on ebay. £10 a pop and i sold about 15 a day.

these days you can buy them on ebay for something like $0.10 and there are thousands of listings.

find a way to make money online, screw it till everyone is doing it.

That was me. I've used the Short Stack Strategy posted here PokerStrategy.com: Online poker, poker strategy, poker forums, poker videos, poker news and have played some of the softer sites, 8 tabling at a time makes you a few quid a day. Standard poker variance can mean you lose money short term though, you have to be in it for the long term small profit. Bit like an investment

You have to invest time to learn the basics and its very boring but you can make money. Its an easy to learn shove or fold, profit and run strategy. Other players will hate you though

You could try signing up with Shop and Scan (although there may be a waiting list). Its a market research company who are keen to seen what you buy, they send you a USB scanner and ask you to scan all your purchases. You build up points each week, which can be converted into gift vouchers at several different shops/restaurants etc. It's 100% legit and very easy way of making some extra £££

My Mrs does it with our weekly food shop (scans all the barcodes as we pack it away) and I do the text message one for the stuff I buy for lunch at work, we mainly use the points we accrue to get amazon or hmv vouchers as they come in very handy when I need new 360 games.

Well worth checking out

goldmoney.com

Instead of an ISA buy some gold bullion , you can buy and sell pretty much real time once the funds are there. About the cheapest way to buy and store physical gold. I suspect most people would turn a profit if they just left it in for a few years and ignored the short term dips and highs.

Made 12k in 4 months from a 60k investment ...would have been 17k if I hadn't tried to be clever and just left it alone. (although being clever probably got me more profit after my initial screwups). The same amount in an ISA was getting me abou £800 a year at 5% so nowadays its truly pathetic. I think ISAs are a bit of a government complicit con to be honest.

Also I make about £150 a year in points on my credit cards ...usually pays for christmas food from M&S or Waitrose (goes further in M&S and I personally think the food is better than Waitrose)

I'm in a similar position and I can't see past betfair anything that offers a better alternative. Certainly not if as in my case you don't have much in the way of startup money.

I'd only gamble on betfair as you need to trade and be able to back and lay in any sport to lock in profit and guarantee long term returns imo.

There's a few low barrier ways to make money online. As with all these things, there are a large number of people doing them and only a few making any money. However, as long as you're only giving up time then it might be worth a crack:

Amazon Mechanical turk: https://www.mturk.com

You basically get paid for doing small simple tasks. You can have a look around the site to get an idea. You're never going to make millions but some people quite enjoy it. Run by Amazon so very trustworthy

Mancx - Mancx | The Knowledge Market

This is basically a paid Q&A website with an emphasis on quality. If you've done a degree then you'll probably be comfortable with the type of research required. Pay is better than a lot of sites because the quality required is higher. I think it's affiliated with LinkedIn so again, it's a legitimate place.

KGB answers - General Knowledge Questions and Answers

Another paid Q&A site, quality is fairly low so the pay is too

Istockphoto - Stock Photography: Search Royalty Free Images & Photos | iStockphoto.com

Have a digital camera? Pretty much everyone does. You can upload your photos to loads of these stock photo sites and people like designers pay to use them. Have a look at the most popular ones and see if you can copy them. Ideally you want photos of an attractive woman doing cliche office things (answer phone, typing etc) or middle aged man in suit doing similar stuff

Matched Betting - Google it

Most online gambling sites give away free credit when you sign up, usually £50 or so. The condition of this is that you need to gamble it x number of times before you can withdraw the free cash. The principle of matched betting is that you can use betting exchanges (where you effectively act as the book maker) to cycle the money and withdraw almost all of it. I'm simplifying this down but you can easily find articles on it so no need to go into too much detail

Article writing - paid article writers per word - Freelancer.co.uk

One of the major tactics used by people in SEO is to write articles and blog posts. You can get paid per word to write this stuff (usually low amounts of money). A recent google update has led to a decline in this work but you might want to look into it

Design work - Logo Design, Web Design and Writing by the World's Best Creative Team | crowdSPRING / Logo Design, Web Design and More. Design Done Differently | 99designs.com

If you can learn to do design then you can look at this. If you're not very good then this might get frustrating as it's payment on results

Skype prime - Download skype and look there

Have some expertise that other people would pay to learn about - SEO, Design, marketing, photography etc? This is basically a marketplace where you set your rate per minute and people can call you on skype and pay for your time and expertise.

As with anything, if you want to make good money then you need to learn to do the things that other people can't/won't. Particularly online where you are competing with countries like India/China.

How aout using your body?

Sell your organs online. China has a strong market. As a minimum, you can afford to loose one kidney and part of your liver. Must be worth something?

Sell your sperm.

Test drugs.

Sell your hair for use on wigs.

Come across this the other day,

MOD COMMENT: url deleted: please don't post referral links...

It's a 50$ free capital, don't have to pay any money, enter any bank details etc, it's just a starting block of money to use and potentially build a capital! Have to pass the poker quiz, but the answers are on the site and easy to find.

Off the top of my head, either Matched Betting which I know works as some colleagues made a few thousand pounds or Bitcoin mining but you need some serious hardware to do that.

You could also start setting up multiple profiles on numerous social networking sites, build up some reputation and make them look legit and then sell the accounts to marketeers to be used for astroturfing. I know the Israelis are really hot on this at the moment.

The big money is in porn. Create your own porn site that fills an as yet untapped niche. Seems daunting but remember Rule 34!

My boss at work is always banging on about using Google Adsense as an additional revenue stream and i've seen his account and how he makes a few hundred quid a month off it.

IIRC you create a simple site (just pay for hosting or whatever it is) with unique wording that appears high up on the search thing.

Within that site you will have Google links to other sites which you make money on per hit. Some you earn more from than others.

I'm not clever enough to make it work myself although he has a few on the go.

Someone will be able to explain the above better than me so correct me if i'm wrong

Online roulette is a great but very slow and boring way of making money. Also works in proper casinos. Done it a few times in casinos and come home with the same money I went with after spending money on meals drinks and taxis But as allways you need money to make money.
Rules are simple bet on the 2to1 column at the bottom of the row of numbers. Place 1 chip on 2 of the columns' so your betting on nearly 2/3rds of the numbers. So when your number comes in you win plus your stake. So you bet 2 chips, one will lose but the other wins so your 1 up and thats it. If a number comes up on the column you didnt bet you need to put 3 chips on 2 of the columns (triple up your bet) eg 1, 3 , 9 ,27 ect If your very unlucky then you need the funds to do this. So if you lose 3 times in a row you need to put 27 chips on 2 rows but when you win you get the stake back plus 1. If you dont win again then its 81 on 2 columns and so on. try it on the internet for free. It works. But I must say if you do it in a casino the pit bosses may ask you to leave when they suss you out.( you are pretty much buying money)
Only posting because I think this is a fun game , for free on the web and you can sometimes make money. dont do it if you cant afford it and you need money to make money. Lose 6 times in a row and you know what Im on about

You could triple or 10x up in martingale if you wanted to.

martingale works fine, as long as you have infinite wealth and there is no house limit

I make a small but steady income from online poker. It's not easy though, I had years as a losing player and it can get boring grinding away - I only play a couple of hours a week which is why I only earn small amounts but if I play more than that I get bored, play poorly and ultimately lose money.
