UFO sighting ? Manchester area !

Anybody seen a orange bright light flying around the harpurhey, blackley are tonight. I'm on shift and keep seeing it fly about. It's not moving like a plane and is bright orange and doesn't seem to make any sound.

Thought it might have been India 99 but everytime a helicopter has been out you can hear the sound of the propellers from quite a distance. This is quiet when it flys over. It's a bright orange which also seems to just dissapear in to the clouds

Re: UFO sighting ? Manchester area !

If it was last seen over Harpurhey then I'm guessing its been shot down, stripped and sold for spares by now.

Never seen one myself but I read something before about a lantern being mistaken for a UFO. The ones I've linked to do seem rather small and, like you say, would probably be difficult to see above cloud cover.

lol. Best thing then for the OP is to head down to Harpurhy market tomorow and see if there's a bloke selling what looks like an alien with a bullet in its head.

Re: UFO sighting ? Manchester area !

Me & my other half saw something like the op has described a few weeks ago over north London.
It was a fast moving ball of fuzzy orange that came over us from the south and seemed to stop for about 5-7 seconds then continued on moving north east at a fast pace before disappearing behind the cloud cover. All the time it was in view there was absolutely no sound coming from it.

Could have been an Asian lantern but it's speed and the fact that it stopped for a while before moving on makes me dubious as to this possibility.

Strange
