What would make me the happiest?
I'm in a dilemma, I have a few hundred quid to spend and cant decide whether to do one of the following.

Buy a 32" LCD TV for my bedroom to replace my aging 32" CRT
Upgrade to Sky HD for the living room to go with my existing 46" 1080p LCD
Buy a Blu-ray player for the living room

What would you choose?

3 questions:

How often do you watch TV in the bedroom and how is the quality of your CRT in your opinion?

How often do you watch Sky TV at present?

Would you be buying many Blu-Ray movies or renting them regularly?

Go out with friends dinner/beer/casino

Get a Blu Ray player for the living room, Sky HD is only £29 for the box now so thats no big deal. Get a Blu Ray or PS3 for the living room.

Get rid of the 360, get a PS3 and your life WILL BE BETTER. Or may be not!

Sky or BluRay blayer will have on going costs, direct debits/discs...

if ur savvy all 3

cheap crt for bedroom , sky hd (paid monthly anyway) and a sony blu ray or new lg bd 390....

that shouldnt cost more than 250 all in so as iccz suggests....

send them away too............

Thanks for the replies.

I do watch a lot of TV in the living room but I never get to play on the xbox as there's always people around in there. If I got the LCD for the bedroom, I would ship the xbox to the bedroom and play in there.

I have a lot of DVDs and if I got a blu-ray player, I'd stop buying DVDs and start getting blu-ray discs. I dont really rent DVDs, that's just money down the drain imo.

I rather like bazonix's idea but I'd have to consider at least a years worth of Sky subscription as at the moment I'm getting very little income and want to treat myself but not get myself into something I cant pay for in the future. So I'd save the money I have for the sub if I went down that route.

I've penciled in a wife/girlfriend for next year so that's not an issue atm.

get shy HD or a ps3 to use as the blu ray player. iave an xbox360 but kept my ps3 becuse its such a good dvd player divx player and blu ray player

Of those options, I suggest Bluray player or PS3,

Then join blockbuster/ lovefilm online and get yourself a list of blurays to rent (go out and buy the ones you really like). You'll be able to feed your 46" tv a lovely steady diet of 1080p movie goodness.

To be honest, i cant see the point of having a 46" tv and not giving it an HD source for movies/ tv.
