Buying a watch on eBay

New LED Luxury Date Digital Mens Sport Black Watch on eBay (end time 11-Oct-09 17:40:08 BST)

Just saw this on eBay. I think it looks pretty good but it costs £3.76 including delivery. Does this sound like a scam to you? The seller has decent feedback but I'm not that familiar with eBay, I've only used them a couple of times.

Re: Buying a watch on eBay

I doubt it's a scam. TBH i would think that these kind of watches are made for pence really. Nothing wrong with a cheap watch.

If it's what you want just now, then go for it.

Re: Buying a watch on eBay

Its a watch for less than £4 and free delivery from China. I would not expect much. The guy does have a lot of feedback but you should read some of the negative ones "REFUND GIVEN AS FELL APART WITHIN 2 DAYS CHEAP TATE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DONT BUY". "The price says it all, cheap rubbish strap broke in 2 mins, luxury it is not!!!"

You can read the feedback by clicking on the number under the seller info.

How dare you, you uppity little man. That watch looks like the height of refinement and respectability. Any landed gentry would be proud to wear it as a symbol of there wealth and high social standing. .

Truthfully i am amazed anybody would buy such an obvious pile of pony. Talk about a waste of the planets resources.

That watch looks really cheap in my opinion.

But then again I guess you get what you pay for.

Re: Buying a watch on eBay

Slightly off topic I know, but I once bought a gold Rolex on a Greek Island (Zakynthos I think). I wore it with pride and proudly boasted that it cost two and half grand.

The two and half grand was actually 2,500 Drachmas at a time when there were 500 to the pound so it was about £5. After a week, part of the the lettering fell off of inside so it said "Exlor" or some such. Then the second hand fell off and jammed the minute hand. It was however, still accurate to the nearest hour.
