Other peoples footballs in my garden

Does anyone else have this problem? Now i know we were all kids al accidents happen, but my nightmare neighbours constantly kick the ball over the fence damaging plants etc.The latest time was today,i'd already thrown it back 4 or 5 times, but i just finished putting concreting base for a new shed, and when i look out 30 mins later there's 3 footballs and 4 tennis balls in the cement. Now i know its done on purpose,as they were in the garden laughing and asking for their balls back.At this point i flipped and punctured the footballs with a stanley knife, then threw them back over the fence. At this stage one of the men who live there came out shouting and swearing saying his going to stab me.Now ive had years of noise and general abuse from this lot,so i said come out the front and were have it.Well im 6'4" and 19 stone and he didn't meet me outside .Just another mad mad day living with neighbours from hell .

Re: Other peoples footballs in my garden

Why isn't this guy shouting at his kids for ruining your shed's foundations? I hate people like that.

(If someone throws something onto your property then you're obliged to return it to them unless it causes damage to your property in which case you're under no such obligation)

No don't have this problem because if any occur I confronts them with so much aggression if it's needed and they respect me back, some people don't stand up and let them carry on regardless.

Its the original family that moved in over 10 years ago.But they have more and more people living there all the time(family, friends etc)i suppose. And everyone could be described as a neighbour from hell.I have no idea where they all sleep as its only a 2 bedroom house. It was a 3 bedroom but the bedroom next to mine is now a prayer room! so you can imagine the noise

Are they Gypsy's? Report them to police and say they are dealing drugs, get them raided, that will do their heads in

Re: Other peoples footballs in my garden

Sounds like my neighbours mate except for the cooking issues. Mine like to throw used nappies in my garden and complaining to the parents just resulted in "its not us." But they're the only family with babies in the street so why would any other person to go out of the way to chuck them in my garden.

Some people have no respect for others.

No not gypsy's.They're Sri Lankan and seem to have the biggest family on the planet.Im going to report them to immigration as something isn't right in there. Why would you have so many people going through one house?People turn up all through the night with suite cases, and after a few days you never see them again, then another lot turn up.

No mate they own the house,i wish it was rented it would make it easier to get them out.In one of the many arguments ive had with them he said they will never go back home(his words). They have recently had a new bathroom fitted, and the shower sounds like a rocket taking off. They start showering at about 4AM every morning. Now they have started work on a loft conversion. But im going to look into if they have planning permission.Thats all i need is more family's moving in.

Mate, it sounds like hell. Whilst I feel for you, all I can do is offer my sympathies and hope the situation improves for you at some stage ... sooner, rather than later.

Good luck!

sounds like you are living next to the klopeks!

if they are having an attic conversion they have to consult you as it involves party walls.

also even if they do own the house, they can only have a certain size family in it.

as for the balls i would of smoothed over and covered the concrete and then placed the balls in a glass pit and offer for them to come collect them (all guests are required to take of their shoes btw )

I didn't know about the party wall bit. What does that include as to what they have to consult me about? the reason i ask is they have a shower that for some reason sounds like concorde taking off.Thats on the party wall and they start using it at about 4AM every morning. You can imagine the noise in the dead of the night.I have complained several times about the noise,so they know there is a problem, but i suppose some people just dont care.I would be ashamed if any of my neighbours had to make a complaint about me,let alone ten years worth

Re: Other peoples footballs in my garden

We used to have a horrible neighbour in our old house, it was OK for the first few years but then things started happening. To start with it was just little things like throwing fag butts in my garden which I collected up and chucked back, neither of us smoke and it was obvious where they came from. then they started making loads of noise and having parties at bizarre times like Tuesday nights. We used t go round my mums in the end when the noise started and slept there. I reported them to the council a couple of times but in the end we decided to leave it and move ourselves to get away from it, it was time for us to move on anyway as the area was pants anyway. So we moved out then the next thing we know she sold up and moved as well, seems like she couldn't live with out us.

We live out in the sticks now and get woken up early by the noisy birds, you can't win
