This dozy cow parked halfway up the pavement, in a bus stop, so she could nip to the cash machine! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/8275944.stm
Car gets hit by a bus. The council say sorry and revoke the parking ticket.
She shouldn't have been parked there in the first place. Ignorant/lazy parking really does my head in. I can't believe that she has the neck to be interviewed making herself out to be a victim.

Hi,
Great find! And, yes, you are right, she should not have parked there in the first place! I have little sympathy for the fact it was a Porsche that was knackered, but I do feel sorry for the driver of the other car, that got hit by the Porsche being pushed (by the bus) into them!
It's very odd that the Council revoked her parking ticket, though! Especially as she was clearly in the wrong.
Still, can't wait to hear what the Bus Driver had to say about this.

I really hate people who park on pavements and this woman deserved something but am not sure this wasn't overdoing it a jot... maybe the bus driver was as fed up this kind of thing as I am. Very glad there wasn't anyone at that bus stop!
I think she definitely should have been fined for parking on the pavement though, there was no reason for her to be there whatsoever... but then that's usually the case when you find someone parking on the pavement, just drivers being selfish .

Parking on double yellow lines, and in hatched areas AND in turning areas in little cul-de-sacs void your insurance.
If you are parked on double yellows, and then you car gets hit, its YOUR fault and insurance won't pay up.
Same should apply here.
I hate people who park where they shouldn't. And people who can't use road islands properly (90% of car drivers)

what if there was someone stood at the bus stop waiting, they would have got a free ride up to the next bus stop
Driver of bus should be charged with careless driving.
Driver of porsche should still have to pay the ticket!

Is that a VW Tourag that got banjo'd? Just imagine the drivers comments sitting there and then - oh crap.
Could've killed anyone.
Bus driver must've been sacked, surely? Can't see why they wouldn't say.

Zero sympathy for the daft, inconsiderate bint who blocked the bus stop - she shouldn't have had the ticket quoshed and I hope that the court throws out any claim for compensation she might make. Also, hopefully her insurance company will tell her to go take a hike as hinted at by another poster.
Not too sure what the story was with the bus driver though - by the looks of things he was out of control and would have crashed anyway. Maybe he hit the accelerator by accident or something ... but the car being parked illegally blocking the bus stop definitely made the accident worse.

Pooch | Though she was originally illegally parked if the ticket was issued after the accident then it is void, the car has to illegally parked at the time printed on the ticket the warden issued. Quote:

While I agree with the rest of you - what the hell was the bus driver doing? He didn't have to swing out that much...!
