I think I have seen the saddest meal deal ever?

Just passed Percy Ingles on my way to work and saw a poster for what I feel, has to be the world's saddest meal deal.

A sausage roll, jam doughnut and a bottle of water for £1.49.

Don't get me wrong, I love Percys. better then Greggs anytime of the day. It's just sad to think that those 3 items could be someone "lunch".

Re: I think I have seen the saddest meal deal ever?

Outrageous - I'd have wanted a bottle of Coke rather than the water.

Re: I think I have seen the saddest meal deal ever?

Unfortunately (apart from the water) that is probably pretty accurate for many people.

Cheers,

Nigel

Isn't that one from each of the primary food groups....

Re: I think I have seen the saddest meal deal ever?

Obesity causes early death. So I'm hoping for a pension increase by the time I retire

Of course by then the NHS will have to refuse to treat fat people or there won't be any savings made

Hi,

Do you not find Percy Ingles Sausage Rolls incredibly salty? I like lots of salt on my food but even to me, they are so salty, I cannot eat them!

Suave!

The salt disguises the taste of ears.

That's right. The government keep moaning about obesity, alcohol and smoking all leading to premature death but at the same time whinging that as we are all living longer there's not enough money in the pension pot.

Wish they'd make up their minds.

Cheers,

Nigel

thats because they want us to die qickly, not over a long period of time that those conditions give.

if labour had it their way we would all die on retirement day at 65 from a heart attack
