Card Magic?

Hi guys

I've decided the time has come to learn 1 (just 1) decent card trick. On multiple occasions recently it would have been very useful!

Can anyone point me to any good websites? Or a particular trick?

Cheers

Jez

Youtube actually has some brilliant videos which show you how to do some in an easy to follow way

Phut - with just one wave of my telepathic abilities, I've made the content of this post disappear.

Re: Card Magic?

Youtube is a total minefield, and I can't find any instructions to 'sticky cards'...

I like the self-destructing post though!! :D

Re: Card Magic?

I was doing a trick where you turn the bottom card of the deck over so that it looks to be the top from both sides.

Fan out the cards and let them pick one, not showing the bottom is turned over.

Now the actual trick is...
Then whilst you tell them to look at the card and memorise it you sneakily turn the pack over, they slip it back in.. and now it's magically the wrong way up

BUT
This person was wearing reflective sunglasses, and the car window behind them was also reflecting the card in their hand.

I was able to read the cards without putting it back in the deck...

MAGIC!

It's more a case of learning the techniques rather than learning tricks. Plus who wants to perform (or see) the same trick over and over... Treat yourself to this, it's $30 very well spent.

Re: Card Magic?

I've got a pack of these...

Thumbs Up Marked Playing Cards - Star Back Design: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

...they're marked, so reading the backs will tell you what the card is.
Takes about 5 mins to get to grips with, difficult for others to suss out how they are marked.

You'll get plenty of tricks out of one of these packs.
