My dad - RIP
Those of you who've been around here for some years will know that my dad has been ill with cancer for the past five years.

He died peacefully yesterday and I was with him holding his hand.

He was a top bloke and will be very much missed by all who knew him.

Chin up mate.

There is nothing i can say to make you feel any better, just take comfort in knowing he has been released from the pain.

Its horrible to say, but you and your family can now get on with your lives, which was all my dad wanted.

He hated the fact that noboby could really get on with things while he was ill, and the fact that family would always put themselves out for him.

You will remember him, so try and remember him when he was healthy and happy. I suspect no one wants to be rememberd while they were in pain.

If there is anything the forums can do, just shout and someone will come running

Sorry to hear, but him passing peacfully and you being there was a blessing.

Had the same last month, July 1st, when my Dad passed away with me by his side. He died whilst in a coma, so I know.

vry sorry to hear about your loss, M y mum has terminal cancer , she has been admitted to hospital to have morphine patches fitted to her stomach so i doubt she'll be around much longerI'll miss her terribly
