Anyone ever been?

Just booked up to go away 23rd - 27th December.

Can anyone recommend any trips etc?

I don't know about trips mate, it's light for about 2 hours a day that time of year, gale forces winds and crippling temperatures.

We went to Gulfoss (sp?) which was an amazing waterfall. There are plenty of good bars and nightclubs, but bloody expensive.

I read it was about 6 hrs at that time of year of sunshine!

Only about -3 too so not crippling as such.

I have experienced worse!

I went at New Year's and it got light around 10:30 and was pitch dark by 14:00.
