Just bought a couple of splashbacks for behind the hob and the sink - the manufacturer says just use no more nails type adhesive to fix it onto wall. Is it ok to do this on top of existing tiles?

Should be fine so long as they are completely grease free. Give them a good clean with your favourite kitchen cleaner then a wipe over with some white spirit or your best malt whisky depending on which one you prefer the smell of

Might be worthwhile brushing some Unibond on the tiles too.

Just blob silicon sealant on the back of it and press it on - that'll do it.

I think Johnny means Unibond PVA...
Silicon sealant gets my vote too...

This stuff will work. There are probably cheaper, but someone gave me a spare tube of this, and I used it to stick Stainless Steel things up in the bathroom, onto tiles, and they're still there. Click Me
Can't believe a company like Evo chose that name though

My dad has a company doing stuff in stainless steel (inlcuding splash backs for high end kitchens) and when he fixed some in our house (directly to the wall rather than tiles) he used some 3M double sided tape that will take the wall down rather than become unstuck (or so he said )
Unfortunately I don't remember exactly which model it is and it's too late to ask my dad but you could look into it.

I've been drinking and finding it difficult to get the words but hope that makes sense
