Alton Towers 'bans tight-fitting trunks'

Oh eck, back in the draw they go

Odd Section - News - Alton Towers 'bans tight-fitting trunks' - Digital Spy

Quote:
Alton Towers has banned men from wearing tight-fitting swimming trunks at its waterparks, it has emerged.

The Staffordshire-based theme park issued an official statement explaining why it has decided to forbid men from wearing Speedos and similarly-styled swimming outfits.

Sales and marketing director Morwenna Angove said: "We feel this small brief style is not appropriate for a family venue so we are advising male bathers to wear more protective swimwear such as shorts.

"We are also looking into offering complimentary male waxing, which will preserve the dignity of all our guests."

The park's public relations manager Rachael Lockitt denied the suggestion put to her by The Guardian that the ban had been introduced to garner publicity for the theme park.
