Things to do around Preston Brook / Runcorn

I've got a meeting in Preston Brook tomorrow on the way back down from the lake district, and have the wife and baby with me, so need to find something for them to do for 3 or 4 hours around this area.

The weather looks ok, so a nice walk or something would be more preferable than a shopping centre, but please suggest anything you can think of.

Cheers

Chris

You are not that far from Cheshire Oaks Designer outlet village.

Or you could go to Knowsley Safari Park.

Or for free you could go to Walton Hall & Gardens

Walton Hall and Gardens are nice, there's a small zoo there too.

Cheshire Oaks and Knowsley Safari are a bit more of a drive.

Give me a call in Frodsham (10 minutes away) and take me for lunch

Phil

But for a walk, yes, Halton Gardens is pretty nice. Probably quite quiet in the week as well.
Blue Planet is great, but maybe not if you have a baby in tow.

Re: Things to do around Preston Brook / Runcorn

Cheshire Oaks aint far away at all, only about 10-15 minutes further up the motorway, just come off onto the M53 signposted for Birkenhead (so thats the second M53 turn off as the first heads into northwales). As you round the joining road the junction you come to is for the cheshire oaks.

Decent place to walk around, the main section has shed loads of shops and its good prices too, on the other side of it theres the leisure side, some decent cheap restaurants, cinema, bowling etc.

I live just down the road from it, nice and handy for shopping

Knowsley safari park would be a fair way to go for just a few hours spare!
