Thanks: Gave 192, Got 385 | What is this 80's toy?
I've been driving myself crazy trying to remember the name of this construction set a friend of mine had when we were young. It was comprised of red pipes, some about a metre long, some about half a metre, black connectors including L shaped, X shaped and simple extenders, and there were also black panels you could slot onto the pipes.
Ring any bells?

Meccano?
Bionical?
Knex?
Sounds a bit too basic to be any of them.
In fact, it sounds like the most basic toy ever!
Just some pipes that can be joined together?
To make nothing in particular?
God, that must have been crap. |

I can see the point of it in that ad, because they have slides and stuff attached to it.
Your mate just had the framework?
Haha, what a shame!
Like giving him some handlebars and a bell, and that's it. |
