Amazon marketplace question.

Hi I'm new to the whole internet banking situation so have just got a quick question if I put my PS3 onto amazon marketplace can the money from the sale be put directly into my switch card account or do I need something similar to paypal.

Thanks, David.

Re: Amazon marketplace question.

I beleive that payments are handled by Amazon and go straight into the account that you specify.

If new then please check the fees that Amazon charge on sales - they can be quite high, higher than on eBay. There are multiple fees aswell - for example Amazon specify the P7P you chrage which may not be enough but that's tough - and they then might charge a fee on the P&P so you end up with even less.

The advantage over eBay is that you can specify a fixed price, althouh I suppose you can do that with eBay but your insertion fees would then be high.

Cheers,

Nigel

Thanks for your help and the reason im trying amazon is because of the hassle I had with my wii on Ebay because theres many kids out there buying with out the intention of paying im hoping with amazon it might have less kids mucking around.

Re: Amazon marketplace question.

Yes mate, they deposit the money straight into your designated bank account, no need for a middle man like paypal etc. The only problem, other than the high fees, is that they pay the money in cycles as opposed to the point of sale, sometimes you could be waiting a good few weeks.

Re: Amazon marketplace question.

Just to point at the fees. As an example say you sell a console weighing 6Kg for £200.

The buyer will pay

Purchase - £200
P&P - £6.79
TOTAL - £206.79

Amazon will charge

Sale Fees - £23.86 (0.86 + 11.5%)
P&P Credits - £0.83
TOTAL - £24.69

Estimate of how much it will cost you to send - £15 (but Amazon still say you can only claim £6.79.

So you will get

£167.10

Amazon just seem to charge quite a lot and dictate terms on the seller which are not always fair.

Cheers,

Nigel
