First loves. Remember them?

I met up with my first love again the other night. We are both now divorced and had not clapped eyes on each other in 22yrs. Things went well and I have an inkling that this could go somewhere. Does anyone else think this would be a good idea or is nostalgia too dangerous ?

Re: First loves. Remember them?

Go for it with a calm head. No point spending the rest of your life wondering

'What if?'

If it doesnt work out at least you tried and can have no regrets.

Re: First loves. Remember them?

The recent death of a certain musician prompted my ex from 10+ years to get in touch via a well known social networking website. I thought we'd never speak again, but I guess some nostalgia is irrepressible

Go for it essexman, the old cliché in that 'life is too short' has never applied more.

Re: First loves. Remember them?

my first love? a young Austrian girl of 16 i fell madly in love with and so her as an angeli in my mind. She was so perfect I couldnt consummate our relationship - well you dont **** angels do you!Anyway I travelled to Vienna to be with her but unfortunately her very rich parents took a dim view of a long haired bedraggled hippie with little money and put me on a train back home the next morning.
Often wonder what happened to her and still got her pic

Re: First loves. Remember them?

I was looking on friends reunited the other day, so I thought I'd see if my first love was on there.

Well I found her (Damn no photo's though! ) but under the bit where it says occupation, it said escort!

Re: First loves. Remember them?

Well if after 22 years there is still a spark . . why not

Im only a young nipper at 24 but to me it seems like your both in a place where at the very least it will make you happy, in a teenage hormone ridden way. Which im sure after both your divorces will be a welcome breath of fresh air.
