I'm dreading tonight

My Dad has asked me, my brother and my sister to get together to discuss some 'bad news' about my Mum. I'm crapping myself, all sorts of things are going though my mind but it must be serious. She had a heart attack a couple of years ago due to high cholesterol and has been on statins ever since. Recently she's complained of falling over and pain in her arms , even when lifting food to eat. I know what that might mean but I don't even wanna go there. I just hope to god it's not as bad as I fear. Might need a shoulder to cry on later folks.....

Well I'm back, the good news is my mums health is fine, the news isn't good news for my mum but it's personal to her , I just feel very relieved to be honest. Time for a drink now...

I feel bad if your mum has had some bad news, but still feel relieved that it wasn't what we feared.

I know the feeling mate,my mum had a lump removed today that they think is cancer.Its going to be about a week for the results to come back,but hopefully its been caught early enough.Just having a few drinks now as i dont think i would be able to sleep otherwise

I assume she has seen the doctor about the pains. They may/possibly be associated with the statins, which can cause all sorts of weird and wonderful side effects which sometimes come on suddenly after months or years of use. A blood test may indicate this.
