Latest UK victim - a GP

That will put the wind up a few people I imagine:

BBC NEWS | UK | GP and child with swine flu die

Quote:
Dr Michael Day died on Saturday in the Luton and Dunstable Hospital, but the NHS said the exact cause of death in the case is still unknown.

A swab test taken from Dr Day at the hospital has been confirmed as being positive for the H1N1 swine flu virus.
..
The NHS said the case of Dr Day, who was from Dunstable, has been reported to a coroner for investigation. This latest death brings the total number of swine flu-related deaths in the UK to 17.
Always scary when you see health workers keel over in a disease epidemic.

Being a doctor, he had almost certainly have had the Tamiflu treatment.

What does his death say about that?

He's a doctor at the surgery I go to. He was there as long as I can remember. Very sad.

They are reporting the results of the post mortem as death by natural causes and not H5N1.

They're certainly very keen to try to tell everyone - don't normally watch the 'One Show' but I noticed yesterday that first thing they had their resdent doc on to emphasise to everyone that it wasn't the Swine Flu that killed him.

I very much doubt that doc would be dead today if he hadn't contracted swine flu.

Isn't that exactly what the autopsy proved, that Swine flu did not kill him. They mentioned on the BBC that it was a Blood clot.
