Would you sponsor me please?

Hi guys,

Sue's other half Rob here.

Just doing a bit of a fishing really. I've been offered the chance to go climb Kilimanjaro in Africa for a charity.

The charity is called Daisychain who offer restbite care for disabled kids and their parents.

Daisy Chain Project | Welcome to Daisy Chain

It's a charity whom I do a lot of work for already as I have a friend who has a severly disabled son and they provide a fantastic service to them. I've already done loads, like organising gardening / painting days for people at work to offer their time, and an abseil / and bungee jump off our local transporter bridge.

This though is a bit different.

I need to put in £400 of my own money in as a deposit, then raise a further £2600 so 3k in total. Thing is I don't know enough people to go asking around for the 2.6k, so I'm wondering if I should go for it. Just to make things even more preasured, if I raise the money, the company I work for (Barclays) will match it pound for pound, so 3k will mean the charity actually gets 6k andthe more I raise the more the charity gets as they get double that.

So my question is, would you guys be willing to sponsor me. I'm not asking for anything much, perhaps a quid from each of you with a heart. I know there's a credit crunch, but I'd love to do this for the kids.

You would donate through the justgiving website.

The climb takes place in Feb next year. And I'm quite happy to sell my cd palyer or pre, downgrade and put the difference in cost between new / present in to the pot.

Thanks for reading this and for answering.

Dave

ps: mods, if this breaks any rules please close it.
