Angry Cancelling a contract with 3 mobile network.

Has anyone ever had the misfortune of trying to cancel a contract with this company? I've never experienced anything like it. Are the call centre staff even human? It was like talking to a robot programmed with only a few choice responses.

Basically I'd seen out my 18 month contract and was in no mood to extend my custom. Trying telling them that. I was on the phone for over an hour and even in the face of my vitriol the staff simply ignored EVERYTHING I was telling them. They're incredible. I've never known such persistence. Regardless of what I said it seeminlgy sailed over their head and they continued with their sales pitch. Completely ignoring me basically. Frustrating isn't the word. Here's the best bit. So exasperated was I dealing with them I hung up and had to do it all over again the next day. It took an hour again!

Has anyone else had similar experiences with this mob? I'll never deal with them again. I've dealt with some bad companies but I don't think I've ever met one so unwilling to listen to a customer's wishes.

Can anyone recommend a better mobile provider? Except Vodafone. They ripped me off big time before.

Re: Cancelling a contract with 3 mobile network.

There have been a few threads about 3 on here, I can't find many but here's a couple:

Changes in 3 contracts allow early cancelation without charges!!!!

They were also on watchdog a while back about it.
