I wonder what keeps the international space station in an orbit and not flying off at a tangenet into space? Gravity perhaps? "Zero gravity" does not exist.
Cool vid though!

/coat | The earth gravity. It's weaker out in space. Enough to keep the big metal thing in safe orbit.

Awesome video footage.
Unfortunately the narrator would probably make me nod off and miss the Big Bang if he'd been doing live coverage of the start of the Universe.
Not that I could do better I hasten to add.

I am sure I saw the same thing on Paul Daniels about 25 years ago.

Looks cool, the best thing to come out of the ISS for the moment, IMO.
On a related note, try youtubing cats in zero-G, the russians let a cat into one of their "vomit comets" and the results were...weird.

If you went fast enough, you could orbit close to a black hole - you'd want to make sure you got your sums right though.

Read quite a few blogs about orbiting black holes, some interesting views and predictions come from them, of course it's all crazy thinking!

I'm looking forward to the first 'spherical swimming pool'! Now that would be awesome. Probably wont happen in my lifetime though.
