Microsoft Word 2007 "macros"

I want to save my address and certain elements which I use in a lot of Word documents so that I can just press "Insert" or some other technique and pull them up quickly, formatted and such as I wish.

I've done it before with past versions of Word but I'm at a loss here. How do I do it?

Look at Autocorrect feature.

Type in your address as you want to see it, including tabs, line breaks etc.

Highlight (select) the text you want to "autoamte" and then (Word 2003 option!!) Tools, Autocorrect. Enter say "myaddy" as the text to correct and press enter to accept.

Then every time you type myaddy (and space) you'll get your text.

You can still write macros in Word 2007, first thing to do is enable the Developers tab within word to give you the macros options. It's in Word Options --> Popular --> Show developers tab on ribbon.

Then you can record your own macros again.

FYI, if you ever have trouble finding a feature that has been moved/"lost". Then download and install Office Search Commands from Office Labs. Brilliant little thing. Saves alot of time too
