I shouldnt be playing GoW as am a few months short of 18

but today i have played with 11 and 13 year olds that have been sending very abusive messagesto me

how on earth does an 11 year old get a game like GoW2 without someone thinking they shouldnt have it?

i dont think i have ever seen language that bad - even from kop - its shocking what some get away with

Kop only uses bad language when he gets killed.....Oh I see what you mean...all the time

My 12 year old nephew got a 360 for Crimbo last year, when we went round for the Boxing day each as much Turkey as you can event, there he was playing GOW Now i know kids seem to grow up quicker these days, Who is to blame for that....us or them...I went straight to the machine and took the disc out, he kicked off abit at first but after a friendly Uncle chat he saw my point of view(he is quite sensible for 12), and understood what i was trying to protect him from

His Mum was cool with it coz she didnt realise, i gave him some of my more 12 year old friendly games.......he gave me his GOW disc which was quite handy as mine had been wrecked by a combination of my 3 year old daughter and our labrador puppy

Concerned Uncle duties completed, happy nephew, new GOW disc for me....Job done, i think you'll agree

i agree tha they shouldnt be playin it - i probs shouldnt lol

but what are an 11 year olds and a 13 year olds parents doing while he i swearing away and playing 18 games
his language was atrocious

i never got away with anything like that 18s or language (which is why i dont swear at all)

I cant play gears 2 hit rank 25 after a week just the lag is terrible do you still have gears1 if so fancy a 1v1

Have you tried it again recently mate, it has been better IMO, the odd game, but nowwhere near as bad as it was

i take that as an insult - i still have number 1 since i got it free with my console

there isnt that much lag i dont find - maybe you have a bad connection (oh i didnt just start that again )

there plenty of amerian kids that have very high squeaky voices

I usually found the later i played the less lag i got weird that maybe as the time went on the uk went to bed and my connection speeded up i dont know i dont have a bad connection its got a shi hot upload and the download is not bad either pings to the us are quite good as well

Regarding the original point of the thread, it's stupid how many parents let what are obviously immature kids play this game. I have no issues with parents making a judgement call to let children play Gears if they're mature enough but I seriously doubt any of the shreiking children you come across fit within that category.

Shrieking kids do my nut in Played a match the other day and it was like i'd been thrown into the middle of a fight at a creche

Headset removed.....job done.....little Tw**s wiped me out though

well the sorta kids that are allowed to get games such as GoW2

are probably those that get away with staying home from school "ill" playing GoW2 and carry knives etc

i may only be 17 and cant really talk - but anytime i was ill enough not to be at school then i wasnt well enough to be playing

I remember playing Doom64 when I was 11. It scared the **** out of me so much that I couldn't get past the first level, coupled with my crapness obviously.

I can't see how an 11year old can whip me at GoW2, but they do. I know a family who have a 4/5year old that played Halo1/2 and now has a 360 and plays god-knows-what.

its fair enough a 4/5 year old having a 360 but the games they may have are crazy - they should have a wii

my first console was PS1 but i barely played that due to not being allowed to loads and mostly watching cartoon network when it was on satelitte - ahh the good old days how i miss cartoon network

i remember max payne when i was younger - that was a strange game

My first game I really played was the PS2 remake of SpyHunter, not including the obligatory Pokemon which everyone my age played to death.
I quickly moved onto the first Timesplitters, which was a fantastic game. After that is was downhill for me. But of course these games were all much more cartoony than GoW which although to us is humerously over-done is of course very graphic in it's exploding corpses and human shields spraying blood .

@ matt the more fun cartoony games were "XIII" (13) but spyhunter was brilliant and so was timesplitters - though i never owned a PS2
