GOTY Edition - Is it worth it if you have non GOTY?

Hi,

I was just wanting to ask those that know more about this game.

I have Gears of War 2 already and have played it a little and enjoyed it when I did but mainly just let the whole GOW thing fly right by as I was more into Call of Duty.

So I do not have any of the DLC though whatsoever but always intended on getting some if it made the game better.

With Gamestation selling the GOTY edition for £16 which apparently contains a load of DLC, can I ask would it be worth buying this then just selling the GOW2 that I have already?

Looking on Marketplace now I can see a load of DLC to buy

Dark Corners Multiplayer Map Pack - 1200pts
Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection - 1600pts
Snowblind Multiplayer Map Pack - 800pts
Combustible Multiplayer Map Pack - 800pts
Flashback Multiplayer Map Pack - 400pts
Locust "Cyclops" Helmet - 160pts
COG Helmet - 160pts
COG Armor - 320Pts
Locust Drone Armor - 320pts

The above seems like it would cost an absolute fortune to buy separately and a lot more than £16.

So can I ask do you get all of the above in the GOTY, or which do you get if not all, and would it be worth rebuying given this cheap price for what you do get.

Thanks for anyones help.

The 'All Fronts' DLC gives you all the maps (and the missing SP chapter) IIRC.

If you don't want the Avatar gear (no idead if that's on the disk either), All Fronts will get you all the in-game content for 1600msp / £13

As Codey said with the GOTY you get the All Fronts collection (and the normal game)

All Fronts contains: Dark Corners, Snowblind and Combustible (not sure if it also contains Flashback, but you may already have those from being on a scratch off card)

In addition to all of the brand new Dark Corners content, Gears of War 2: All Fronts Collection also includes all of the previously released Gears 2 multiplayer map packs—the Flashback Map Pack, Combustible Map Pack, and Snowblind Map Pack. An incredible bundle of Gears 2 content, all for just 1,600 Microsoft Points.
