Gears of war was it worth it ?

Am thinking of buying gaers 2 ano ano it has been around for a while but I never really saw the what the hype was in the game.

I loved the original but when it came to online and peoples sole purpose for playing the game was just to glitch it got old and I never played the game again.

So am thinking why buy number 2???

Can anyone give me like a good low down on the game apart from the story of why they think this game is actually anygood...

As a single player game i found gears2 better than the first i also found the campaign better than most I say buy it

gears of war like most M/P games is who you play with that makes the experience worthwhile

I paid £15 from Asda new a couple of weeks ago and it's definitely worth it, i think SP is far better than the first one.

Re: Gears of war was it worth it ?

Gears 2 gets a lot of grief just because people were expecting more from it. (and the lag online is terrible)

but compare it to most other games that you have bought over the years and it still poo's all over most of them.

can be picked up for about £15 now aswell which is brilliant.

Like GOW1 found the scenery a bit repetitve but never the less i got very very into the story of GOW2 later on and loved it dont know if the extra levels are out as havent been paying attention to the GOW world. I hate hate hate the GOW2 MP unless it was wingman with a friend whos very good at GOW so didnt have to worry about dying or playing horde with friends which is great fun. If it can be bought for 15 quid id say 100% buy it.

It's worth buying just for the amazing campaign and horde which is as much fun online as it is offline. Still the lag problems will always exsist but Gears 1 had loads of problems which people seem to forget.

Re: Gears of war was it worth it ?

Yeah i'd deffo pay £15 for its

Its a very good game, good storyline, good graphics

I play it regularly online, lag problems are improving, lag is very much dictated by what time of day you play, late at night when all the hosts are in the US it ends up really slow, but i did have a stretch the other day when i was host 5 times in a row, and i did some ass whooping...... :D

Your answer is very telling. You enjoyed it when you had a big advantage over 9 other players. I'm sure the 9 players lagging on your host had a great experience

This game stinks online.
