If you are consistently good, Execution/Warzone.

If you are average or above average (and my personal preference), Gaurdian.

Annex has terrible EXP ratios. Dont play it for rank.

yep go for guardian for rank, it's a shame annex exp is so low coz its the one i enjoy the most

Annex is my favourite gametype to, I can average around 5k in a typical good (not exceptionally laggy) match. But that is only 1300EXP. Epic need to atleast re-introduce the 500EXP winning bonus.


Guardian is the best gametype for a player like me who generally fails to get more than assist points in Exe/Warzone .

Yeah the win bonus was/is a really good addition. Hope it is fully introduced.

They kept double XP on horde, so i don't see why they can't put the winning bonus back on. Especially for Annex, as the ratio is pretty low. It is fun though, so i would definitely play it more if there was a little bonus for winning.

I had some fairly tense games on guardian that dbl xp weekend. Well, more than usual anyway.

The devs admittedly only play horde and campaign. To hell with public competitive multiplayer as far as they're concerned. They dont play this game's multiplayer regularly so they have no clue that it's fundamentally broken. We've been asking to keep the winning bonus permanent, and they go off and double horde's xp. What a joke.

Ah, didn't know that. That's a shame really; i wonder if it's because they can't handle being beaten?! I read somewhere that they didn't want to keep it permanent because it would encourage cheating?

That's true.

But they know about the pavillion back door glitch with the boomshield but openly refuse to fix it, so go figure.

I think EPIC should sell the franchise over to EA or something, someone that'll treat the Gears franchise right. It's refreshing playing a superior multiplayer component like Battlefield BC with dedicated servers.

I wonder how bad Gears 3 will be.

Yeah i heard about that?! I just mentioned the cheating line of reasoning because i thought it was a strange reason. I mean why would people cheat more than they are already? Unless i'm missing something of course. Surely cheating to farm kills will be more productive than any win bonus?

The guy reckons he can get 40000xp in 4 hours grinding horde/insane/security!! Tbf, that is probably more xp than i could earn in that time on guardian (even without connection/lag trouble), but you'd have to be desperate for a rank100 to consider doing that for 500+ hours

Me 2 pal. Its so frustrating but I still play it all the time!! Whats wrong with me? lol. I still thiink that when the game runs with minimum lag its great fun. I've told myself once i hit level 50 (currently lvl 45) i'll put the game down, ha who am i kidding!!

it works as a friend only plays horde and is rank 25,no way i could do it for 500 hrs

I only play Horde when im bored of the lag on Guardian as I find it a great way to relax even though it takes me about 30 mins to get 1000 xp playing on my own on hardcore but oh well its going to take me at least 4 years to reach level 100 so why rush

if u ever want to play horde send me fr im alway up for some horde,played some bad lag games yesterday maybe its time for connection strenth bars so u know if to stay or not

im confused with ranks as im rather rubbish @28 and i had 14 kills and a 100 had only 7 kills how can someone be rank 100 with just 7 kills on Guardian

anyway of checkin what matches i have won on annex?

The level 100 had to of glitched his account and at some point will have his gamerscore set to zero. On the subject of stats if you go to the war journal you can view all your stats for all game types private & public but if you want a total overlook of your Gears 2 performance go to the gears website.

I will send out a FR to you as soon as I can get some decent time on Gears as at the moment im getting an hour here there and everywhere.

A winning bonus won't increase cheating. People who would cheat do so already to either increase their EXP or KD ratio. A winning bonus wont increase the numbers doing that, but may reduce the number of team mates who farm kills rather than playing properly.

very true,only a small number of ppl cheat maybe one day we will have our bonus and a double exp week
