It was seen earlier in the year that limited edition consoles were being released around the globe, now they are landing in the UK.

Three limited edition consoles are being sold in the UK including red, white and silver versions. Once exclusive to Japan, PS3 users can upgrade their console to their desired colour tastes.

The console comes with a matching controller and a 320GB hard drive.

Will a set of fancy new colours be enough to tempt loyal owners to part with their black consoles though?

With PS3 Slim consoles and bundles falling to or below £200 (thanks largely to the supermarkets and online competitors), it is all the more reason to have a second console Not necessarily one of these LE sets.

I must admit that i am tempted to pick up the red one and i could do with two consoles at home. So i keep telling myself anyway....
